I deleted my first-ever video after posting it because I thought it was too cringe. 50,000 subscribers later and I'm back to watch it for the first time since! I expected this video to be a funny look back at my first attempt to be on camera, but I became nostalgic and emotional for this period of my life! I didn't poke fun at my first video like I thought I would. Rather, I saw the eagerness a...

Company Keynotes have become the place to announce new products, but where did it all begin? I visited the Braun HQ to see the humble beginnings of, tradeshow stands in the 50s, and how Braun rocked the spaceship in 1955 with the D55 stand. Was it a flash in the pan? No! The exact same tradeshow stand is still in use today! #ad

Keyshot Masterclass: Why Render Products?
Thanks for sharing❤
Why Braun designs today are so , so ugly ??
Such a great video with helpful tips. Thank you for explaining each individual aspect
Always a pleasure to hear from you!
Wow!
Great video! I too started off with sketchup. As designers, there isn't much need for us to work in heavy engineering software such as Solidworks. I have found Sketchup and Blender to be the perfect combo for producing anything from large shipping container port scenes to ceramics. I honestly think that Sketchup does not get enough credit. The only problem with Sketchup is the polycount. I tend to build my scene 'architecture' in sketchup (because it's fast and accurate), I then assemble the scene in Blender. Blender takes some time to set up, but once you build a template, it becomes just as fast as Keyshot, without the scale constraints, and infinite animation capabilities.
Hi there, I am currently doing masters in design and engineering. I am only confident with solidworks at the moment. What other skills I should acquire to get better at designing in your opinion? Thank you
Ahhh I miss playing heavy rain so much! Oh to go back to a simpler time gaming and eating pick n mix 😂
Exactly I miss that game so much 🥲 that’s why Sketchup can help recreating those scenes haha
Very nice!
Smooth Shade in Blender is a "cheap" vizualisation trick in order to save hardware headroom in polygon heavy files. It does not alter the geometry, or communicate with the render engine. If you want the object to render smooth in Blender's render engine you need to use the subdivion (render). I don't think this feature would make any sense in Keyshot. The blender to keyshot plugin brings models form blender into keyshot.
Great video!
Gruß von Stefan aus dem U-Allgäu (Deutschland) This is for your very detailed and well-explained contribution to the relatively new function in Shapr3D.... Thank you! Exactly because of the possibility of parametric modeling, I have used and loved the Shapr3D beta from day one. Greetings from Stefan from the U-Allgäu (Germany)
Hi Sam. I know that this is an old video but I was wondering if you would help someone else in doing what you did?
This is Brilliant
简单高效。谢谢
Thank you very much! It was very helpful.
THANK YOU
It does work! THX Sam!
I'm running into a problem where the non-raised parts of the wall with the displacement map aren't being lit by the HDRI. If anyone knows what might be causing this I'd be really grateful.
Hache R team... got it! lol Thanks for the video!
Hello! Is it possible to share how the room is created? You are talking about the program, but I can not find it. And how the room is imported in your Keyshot project? Thank you in advance!
Wait. The brush cost money??
really enjoying you videos, very inspiring, just started to practice sketching right now
Wow! This is really cool! Thank you for starting from the beginning for someone brand new to parametric modeling. I’ve struggled to get precise dimensions in my drawings. This will help!
Thanks for the video but what if you need to make a family product shot and each product looks perfect only in its own HDRI environment. Can you somehow combine them in Keyshot?
Shut up and take my money!
tHANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
hey thanks for the 5h I just saved!
Very Helpful. Thank you!
This is very cool, but it's a shame it will only be for enterprise customers. Customers paying for the pro subscription will not have access to this, and for the price of the pro subscription this is pretty weak. After 4 years of being a shapr3d pro user I will not be renewing this year because of this.
they are actualy failing their classes , thats what (im they)
It's not the future just a gimmick. An ipad app will never replace industry standard tools and pipelines. But of course you need a little clickbait in the title to get clicks.
Have you heard of Kenwood or De’longhi? As I mentioned in the video, their team uses Shapr3D. Maybe not for production-ready CAD, but throughout the design process. It’s not the future, it’s already happening
@@SamDoesDesign I'm not saying there's no use case to it, and the platform really needs amazing apps like this. I've tried it myself years ago when it first appeared for the ipad, though the eye-watering sub price kept me away since. I'm using Rhino and I see no reason to go anywhere else, but it's just my 2 cents.
When are they planning to release this to the public?
Hololens has better compatability with industry standard programs.
I love using Shapr3D. It’s my favorite CAD software to actually use because of how well they’ve integrated it into the iPad ecosystem. But that being said, it’s not powerful enough to justify the pricing for me. I subscribe for a month if I need to do something while traveling or have a relatively simple idea I want to make, and then cancel it immediately after and move to more capable software. 90% of what I use it for is 3D printing or CNC part designs, but if I want to use it in the free mode I have to delete a design, and the output file is so low-poly it’s impossible to use. If the subscription for a hobbyist “work on ~20 designs, output high-quality 3D printing or CNC-ready files” was only $10/month I would probably keep the subscription active all year. But at $38 per month I’m only using it once or twice a year, so they’re actually getting less money from me overall (and I’m a member of makers groups totaling ~1000 members who all agree on the pricing of Shapr3D being the biggest blocker of them using it). As it stands, as a hobbyist user now, I’m largely using Fusion 360, OnShape, or FreeCAD despite preferring the Shapr3D workflow. Especially as they’re expanding to the Vision Pro, I think they really should bring in a “hobbyist” tier to their pricing model in order to expand their user base and to properly fund the development across the three platforms (iPad, Mac, Vision Pro).
Hi Sam!!! Very happy on keeping up with your ID industry learning content! Always in the lookout to learn more! Specially integrating Sharper3d workflow into the Vision Pro set up! Amazing! What I’d like to add in this comment is more related to giving back to youuu! You may want to add in your channel/videos the ‘Thanks’ ❤️ +💰button, and get more than credit! Just a thought! Thank you! In Sam we Trust!

Once you make the size of fonts bigger that will force it onto 2 pages. I wouldn't be against 2 page CV. Clean and easy to scan rather than cramming everything onto 1 page.
Their pricing sucks. Why does smb need to switch to their platform from AC or Fusion? Your review of their product is not complete, looks like an ad, it forced me to unsubscribe
I specified in the video that Shapr3D flew me to Budapest to attend the event. But they did not pay me to make this video. They did not review this video before I posted. It is all my own script and my own thoughts. There are plenty of other CAD programs that I also use daily, such as Blender and Rhino, but this video is about Shapr3D
Do you know if assemblies are on their roadmap? This is the main thing holding me back from putting effort into learning with the potential to move away from SolidWorks. I like the idea of parametric modelling on arm and apples ecosystem but if I can’t have bodies both connected and separated out I can’t use for more than simple designs or as part of a work flow.
Let’s put it this way… every time I wished Shapr3D had a feature, it’s appeared 🤭 they’re working towards it 🙌
AR design is the future. Shapr 3D on the road .
I’m so excited for the next few years! 🤩
Actually, depending on the nature of the product its now possible for us industrial designers to design products for 3d printing.
Is industrial design dead??
What device did you type that on?
Too short of a video
How did you do the wicker detail model??
I modelled the wicked geometry in blender for some shots and used Keyshot’s Realcloth in other shots!
love it, needs some good sfx
Thank you man! Yeah sound design could really bring this to life
Is that rattan texture modeling data or mapping source?
In this video it’s a mixture of 3D geometry that I modelled in blender, and then some shots are Keyshot Realcloth on a custom-modelled shell 🙌
good!
Thanks!
Nice work!
Thank you!
Amazingly straightforward !
